Hardware Sales Associate - Full Time - (A&A Tradin' Post and 9th Avenue Ace Hardware)

We are seeking a Full-time Sales Associate for our A&A Tradin' Post and 9th Avenue Ace Hardware locations. 


Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Greet and serve customers store-wide or on the phone in a friendly, polite, and professional matter.
  • Maintain customer service as TOP priority; attend to customers who may need assistance and provide appropriate and helpful information.
  • Demonstrate/explain how to use merchandise so the customer feels comfortable with your knowledge and the products.
  • Answer calls for assistance from other team members and ensure quality customer service is provided to every guest.
  • Assist in unloading, loading, merchandising, and putting away stock on delivery days and update all pricing related thereto.
  • Perform all in-store services and/or cash register operations within training period.
  • Perform all other Sales Associate duties as assigned by Management.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend.
  • Move, lift, and handle merchandise and fixtures that are at least 40 pounds.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be available to work weekends.
  • Punctual, reliable, friendly.
  • Reliable form of transportation.
  • Must be 18 or older to perform all in-store services.

Sales Floor Supervisor-A&A Tradin' Post Ace Hardware

A&A Tradin' Post Ace Hardware is seeking an experienced floor supervisor to join our team! They assist to maximize store sales and profitability while maintaining outstanding customer service and contributing to the growth and development of store associates. Hands-on experience with hardware/tools, repairs/construction, and/or product assembly is a plus!


Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 

  • Serve as an outstanding example for customer service, job tasks, and overall performance for all sales associates and perform all store associate tasks.
  • Ensure store environment is clean, presentable, and free of clutter, excess garbage, unsightly merchandise, and obstacles threatening customer and staff safety.
  • Delegate and assign all necessary duties to the appropriate staff member
  • Identify appropriate training for store associates and oversee all training requirements for all associates (i.e. New Hire Orientation, on-the-job training, vendor training, etc)
  • Conduct accurate counts of daily deposits, drawer counts, and deliver deposits to bank; communicate all discrepancies.
  • Keep staff moving and motivated on all assigned tasks, monitor/assign employee lunches, document ongoing projects and assigned tasks at all phases of the project. 


Customer Service

  • Promote Customer Service as #1 Priority on a daily basis through observing, monitoring, and coaching associate's performance and interactions on the sales floor.
  • Handle all customer concerns/complaints calmly and professionally; provide them assistance or additional information and maintain respectful interactions throughout.
  • Perform all cash register operations to include stocking and maintain registers with cash and coins for the day, complete each sale accurately and process all forms of payment, issue receipts, refunds, set up gift cards, credit accounts, and offer accurate change due.

Inventory

  • Understand and execute operations in regards to inventory ordering and receiving in accordance with store policy.
  • Utilize available inventory reports to reduce shrinkage, maintain appropriate stock levels and maximize inventory accuracy.

Safety, Compliance and Store Environment

  • Enforce/oversee all safety policies and procedures, conduct regular safety inspections, and serve as a role model for safety and compliance.
  • Ensure Store Appearance is clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time, walk, reach, and bend.
  • Ability to operate computers and look at screens for unspecified amounts of time.
  • Move, lift, and handle merchandise and fixtures that are at least 40 pounds.


Pay Range: $18.50 - $20.00

Store Manager - A&A Tradin' Post Ace Hardware

A&A Tradin' Post Ace Hardware is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead our team! This individual will maximize store profitability while maintaining outstanding customer service and contributing to the growth and development of store associates. Hands-on experience with hardware/tools, repairs/construction, and/or product assembly preferred. Leadership and Management experience in retail or service-based role is required. 

 

  

Sales and Operations

· Conduct hiring, training, and developing store staff with goals for growth/success; provide ongoing performance reviews/feedback, identify training opportunities, and offer encouragement. 

· Review all store evaluations with staff and always monitor staff performance

· Conduct proper coaching and disciplinary actions when needed and in compliance with Company policies.

· Coordinate daily staffing coverage to achieve goals for sales projections and customer service standards. 

· Assign and manage all daily tasks for store personnel to ensure proper completion. 

· Implement and execute all in-store Marketing strategy including promotions, events, and all current merchandising based on store needs; work with vendors as needed.

· Participate/Oversee all in-store and external events, community support programs

· Execute all computer/computer equipment upgrades and maintain working knowledge of all new and existing systems.

· Maintain open communication with management team and ownership on all store operations (including but not limited to, personnel matters, equipment needs/malfunctions, order updates, any/all store changes, etc.)

· Maintain working knowledge of all in-store services and processes. 


Customer Service

· Promote customer services as #1 priority by demonstrating and guiding all associate performance expectations. 

· Always serve as an outstanding example of Customer Service. 

· Identify growth opportunities for new B2B accounts and communicate leads with commercial sales team.

· Serve as the final level of conflict resolution for customers to provide possible solutions; inform ownership if further escalation is needed.


Inventory 

· Organize and execute all inventory resets and merchandise changes; communicate changes with management and floor staff.

· Place, review, and submit all store orders for appropriate inventory while adhering to the most recent price changes from inside and outside vendors.

· Ensure all outside vendor pricing sheets reflect accurate MSRP/MAP and internal Company pricing strategy.

· Maintain working knowledge of all in-house customer maintenance/accounts to include all B2B National and local accounts (in communication with Outside Sales). 


Self-Development

· Maintain professional development through training opportunities (self-directed learning, local business events, Ace Learning, Industry events, continuing education, etc.)

· Participate in ongoing professional training to ensure leadership skills are current and reflect Company needs.

· Participate in regular meetings with Ownership and other Management team to communicate areas of growth.


Safety, Compliance and Store Environment

· Enforce/oversee safety policies and procedures, and serve as a role model for safety and compliance.

· Enforce store environment procedures to ensure and maintain the best store appearance.

· Conduct preventative safety and fire inspections, and take appropriate actions to correct all issues.

Salaried/Exempt: $45,000-$55,000 (with bonus opportunities)
